I’ve always believed that in everything we do, we are standing on the shoulders of our ancestors. Maude was my grandmother on one side and Grace was my grandmother on the other. Unfortunately I never met them. I know from stories passed down through the family that both were incredibly strong women, and both were quite taken with fashion! Maude enjoyed the accessories, hats, and pearls in her pictures, and Grace created fashions at her fabric store. When looking for a name, it just came to me. Maude and Grace then began.
I do believe they would love the designs I create. Two beautiful women in their day! I make an effort to wear both bohemian and minimalist jewelry. I use some of the finest gemstones and Portuguese leather.
Each piece is a small work of art to me. Choosing the unique colors to best display the stones is always my favorite part. The stones themselves are a gift from Mother Nature!
Every stone, whether it’s a sapphire, moonstone, or labradorite, has an artistic design made on our planet. I am simply drawn to stones like a moth to the light, whether they are lapis or rubies, or garnet or dragon stone!
